Thought Manipulation - Mind Control

No matter the request, no one could ever say no to Antonio. Some would say it’s his devilish charm, others would argue that it has more to do with his ability to push his own thoughts into other people’s heads, pulsating their thoughts and controlling their every move.

For as long as he could remember, Antonio has lived a life of luxury, taking whatever he from whoever he wanted with no regards to the consequences of his actions. Rules meant nothing to him. After all, no mine could enforce them. He had made a number of enemies living this way, but if he thought he was being followed, all he had to do was tell them to walk away, which he would, once. If he found the same people following him for a second time, his commands were much more permanent. “Shoot yourself in the head,” or, “The bus is coming, make sure you’re standing in front of it when it does.” No one ever followed him a third time.

Having everything he ever wanted without having to work for it left behind a large pile of bodies and a long list of enemies. This included the one person he couldn’t control – the one man he loved more than anyone else in the world. His constant manipulation and dangerous lifestyle proved to be too much for his now ex-lover, but Antonio would do anything to have him back… almost anything. This dream can never be a reality. Aside from doing everything he can to avoid Antonio, he became a pawn in his wreck less game.

Antonio made an enemy after stealing drugs, money and weapons from a very powerful man – and revenge was coming. Knowing what Antonio could do, this silent enemy knew he couldn’t go after Antonio directly, so he went after him where it would hurt the most. The last time Antonio spoke to his universe, it was to assure him that everything would be okay, just to hear his final breath leave his body on the other end of the telephone. His universe was destroyed.

With the knowledge that he was to blame for the undeserved death, Antonio didn’t know what to do with himself. He began to spiral, knowing that he had to stop selfishly using his abilities, but he also knew that as long as he had them, he would not be able to stop. How could he with the forever lingering temptation of knowing that he could have anything he wanted with just a few words – except for the one thing that his actions took away from him. As he lost control, he realized what he had to do. He found the sharpest blade he could get his hands on and he took it to his tongue. If he didn’t have his tongue, he wouldn’t be able to talk and if he couldn’t talk, he wouldn’t be able to use his powers anymore.

Hindsight is 20/20. Unable to take the pain caused as the blade sliced into his tongue, Antonio passed out, nearly bleeding out, but leaving his tongue half attached. He woke up in a hospital, strapped to the bed, unable to speak. But with time, he learned that he didn’t need to speak to use his abilities. Everything that happened, everything he did to himself was for nothing and he still couldn’t go home to the man he loved. He needed help to change his ways – luckily for him, the Misunderstood found him, took him in and helped him deal with the pain.
